Each one should use the word of God personally, practically and habitually as a way of christian faith. As darkness falls upon all around us a true picture of our path through this dark world.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
The Word of God, not simply on different aspects of the Word of God but different use in our Christian life. Also the Christian life, the life of the believer.
Our love for the Word of God is best shown by the way we live it, by the way that we pay heed to it.
The psalmist is continually not only looking at different aspects of the Word, different qualities of the Word and different parts of the nature of the Word of God. So as to obey it, shall find a sweet, lively and comfortable life in it to carry him through all the dark passages of this sinful life, by the mercies of God.
Gods Grace Will Guide Us
We cannot offer anything to God, he will accept what he is pleased to teach us to do. He who walks in darkness is sure, sooner or later to stumble; while he who walks by the light of day, or by the lamp of night, stumbleth not, but keeps his uprightness.
Under the gospel we ought to feel ourselves as much bound to obey the word of the Lord. If we would take the Bible as their guide, it would be a lamp to their feet, leading to the heavenly home.
If we ever had the experience of obeying God’s Word and having obeyed God’s Word, maybe in a hard situation, you have come to a deeper understanding of God’s. As we depend upon the grace of God and the help of His Holy Spirit. God calls us to do in the word; it actually helps us to be faithful to the Word of God. Furthermore we are members of his church. We vow before God and to one another that we will live as followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.
At the end of life, we don’t want to have everything but Christ.
