“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
God shall lead us out; troubles of earth, our grieves are sometimes so sore that tears roll down from our eyes. Tears have but one deep, primary source, and that source is sin. “Blessed are they that thus mourn, for they shall be comforted.” From whatever source the tears we shed may spring, they shall be wiped away in heaven.
These tears caused by depression cannot extend beyond the bounds of time. Where tears are wiped away there shall be no more pain. “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” This removal of tears is directly traceable to God. It is through grace in virtue of the Saviors blood that God bestows it through the pardon of the believer’s sins.
It is Divine. Earth will always be distinguished from heaven. Bodies shared the ruin into which sin brought our race. Subjected to pain, weariness and disease because of sin suffering which has an inlet through our whole nature.
In the midst of your troubles the former things shall always pass away. Former slave of the darkness (sinful deeds) shall pass away too. God shall fill us with knowledge and power of mature years. He who is Lord of the earth hath made all things new.
In a better world we shall see how God led us, place shall come holiness, love, light, joy, everlasting nearness unchanging and unending fellowship. The curse shall vanish from creation; the blight disappears. Paradise shall return. God shall once more delight in it and set his throne in it, Righteousness shall flourish. He who died for us and who rose again.
Neither shall there be any more pain. God shall destroy sin and the great master of evil.
